[00:27:04] S0: I'm not against them putting regulations. What I'm saying is the government is gonna figure out whatever. It's like crypto. I never said that the government shouldn't put regulation in place. I just said if you make stupid regulations, then other countries are going to not make stupid regulations, and you're gonna lose the race. The same thing with tobacco companies is actually other countries were hyper aggressive, and America was much more individualistic, and we were slower to adopt some of this stuff. But eventually, I think we got to a good place, is there's a ton of rules and regulations now around tobacco that it may have taken a long time. Mhmm. People definitely got sick. But, like, in what world are we coming at it from the perspective of, dude, the individual never takes personal responsibility for smoking the cigarettes. Like, that's, like, completely lost from the conversation. And so it goes back to this idea that I'm not saying that the AI companies shouldn't be thinking about what is a positive, all this kind of stuff. What I am saying is you have two different groups of people, and I'll give you a good example. Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, the guys at Google, all these people. You don't hear any of this nonsense from them. These are real founders with real companies who have a track record of delivering. What you are hearing is bullshit coming from people who literally think that they can play God. Good luck. Good luck. But I, as an individual, I'm entitled my own opinion. I hear that stuff. The more I hear it, the less I trust them. And so far, if we look, what company sells software to the United States government and says you can't use it to go get people who are killing other people? I

[00:29:00] S1: don't know. [00:29:01] S0: Anthropic. That's the whole dust up. Well While his competitors are more than happy to allow the United States government to make the decisions of how they use the software. So it goes back to, am I saying that the government should just have free rein and do whatever they want? Absolutely not. But what I am saying is that if you want, which is... Anthropic's right. Right? This is the beauty of America, is that you, as a private company, can say I'm not gonna sell my software to the government. That's fine. But, again, the market competitiveness, if you don't do it, somebody else is gonna do it. And if you're okay doing that, that's fine. But it comes back to this idea of wanting your cake and eating it too. We wanna sell to the government so that our competitors can't, so we get that revenue in those contracts. But then we also wanna be hyper, hyper prescriptive in what you can do with it. And so the market force took over. The government said, no. Kick rocks. We're just gonna rip you out, and we'll go do a deal with somebody who actually wants to let us use the software. And so the beauty of free markets, the beauty of capitalism, the beauty of America is Anthropic is allowed to say whatever they want, do whatever they want, but there's gonna be consequences from the market. [00:30:12] S1: So my question is, why should I not be afraid of killer robots? [00:30:16] S0: Well, let me ask this question. Do you trust Anthropic? [00:30:19] S1: I don't know enough about Anthropic.

[00:30:19] S1: I don't know enough about Anthropic. [00:30:21] S0: Okay. That was a cop out answer. I say everybody else, do you trust them? But Most people don't. [00:30:25] S1: I I... But I, in general, don't trust private companies to look out for me, but that's [00:30:31] S0: a good trend. Because you got common sense. [00:30:33] S1: But that's a different thing of like, oh, we wanna be careful so [00:30:37] S0: that That's not what they're saying. They're not saying we wanna be careful. [00:30:40] S1: Okay. Why should I not be [00:30:43] S0: Meta's being careful too. Of the But they're not running around beating their chest talking about how they're gonna save humanity. [00:30:52] S1: Okay.

[00:33:03] S1: Why should I not be scared of the kung fu killer robots? Because the way that they are marketed is they're gonna be your bodyguard, but what if they come for me? [00:33:11] S0: Of course. But sure. Your car can also, the brakes could stop working. The self driving car can make the wrong turn. GPS could tell you to drive off a cliff. [00:33:21] S1: That's different. [00:33:23] S0: Sure. There's some differences, but there's also some similarities. Right? It... It's the same thing. Like, think of [00:33:29] S1: But, like, this thing is smarter than me. [00:33:31] S0: AI is definitely smarter than us. [00:33:33] S1: I know. [00:33:33] S0: I mean, there might be other smart people who [00:33:35] S1: would not be smarter than But [00:33:36] S0: me, you know, I got a small brain. It is a 100% [00:33:39] S1: know that. That's what I'm saying. But, like, [00:33:42] S0: I just I just said, hey. It's smarter than me. Cool. I got that. Me and [00:33:45] S1: Okay. So [00:33:45] S0: machines would... I'm on your team. Like But [00:33:48] S1: what if you're not? What if you're not? [00:33:52] S0: Then we'll deal with it. [00:33:53] S1: No. That's scary. For my anxious brain that doesn't like uncertainty at [00:33:57] S0: It's like saying, like, what if the robotic arm in the warehouse turns around and smacks the worker? Are we just not gonna... We're just not gonna have robotic arms in the warehouse anymore? [00:34:09] S1: I don't know. It's just too much for my little brain to handle.

[00:34:09] S1: I don't know. It's just too much for my little brain to handle. [00:34:12] S0: Right? So, like, it it goes back to... We can play the what if game all day long. Right? Every single day when you buy a consumer packaged good and you ingest it, what if it was bad? What if it has salmonella? Wait. Wait. Wait. Wait. Is that what it's called? [00:34:30] S1: Salmonella? [00:34:31] S0: What is it? [00:34:32] S1: What did you just say? [00:34:33] S0: Salmonella. Oh my god. Is that what it's called? [00:34:35] S1: The robots are definitely taking over. [00:34:37] S0: What is it? [00:34:39] S1: Salmonella. [00:34:40] S0: That's what I said. [00:34:41] S1: You said... What did I say? What did you say? I don't know. That was crazy. [00:34:46] S0: Right? So the point is that we take risk every single day, but it just goes back to... I can talk from my personal experience. AI... Just think of our life for a second. Let's let's have a personal conversation. [00:35:00] S1: Oh.
