[00:24:21] S1: Yeah. You have a girlfriend. Yeah. You exercise. You're you're good with family time. Yeah. Still relatively balanced. Yeah. Do you do you feel like that? Yeah. No. [00:24:30] S0: I I feel relatively balanced. I think it's just more like just doing things that are like... Or just even consuming content that's more artful and not always just like optimizing. I'm just very aware of like, you know, this time we're in where, like, we're the very start of that business is probably gonna be more meaningful than when we, like, become a $100,000,000 company. Like, this is the times that really matter. So it's like, how can I be present with it? And how can I also, like, pay homage to the the different parts of life that ultimately make you better at your work as well? If you just consume Alex Hormozi content all day, don't think we're gonna create create brilliant media, make it a good few strategies. But if we consume like the New Yorker and great old films and like, I was actually... I almost bought a thousand dollar camera last night, but I didn't because I don't have enough money. But it's like one of the ones that it's a digital camera, but it like has like a film like aesthetic because I'm really into that aesthetic at the moment. But yeah, like I think all those things actually make us better at our jobs. 100%. Yeah. For me, [00:25:28] S1: I think it's just like more time with friends and people. [00:25:31] S0: Do you have friends anymore?

[00:25:31] S0: Do you have friends anymore? [00:25:32] S1: I don't know. Hell, I could probably count on like two... Nah. Like I actually did. I did see a bunch of friends this weekend. I've I've just got a problem of being overly obsessive when you work and like, because what we do, there's like all these things that we can call work, which actually are work, but they're sort of things I do in my spare time. Like reading different types of content, making notes about things on the internet, like just lots of reading and learning activities. Yeah. I just get too obsessed with it. Yeah. So I need to I need boundaries with myself. Yeah. What should I do? What do you think I should do? [00:26:02] S0: I think you should just keep up the exercise and [00:26:04] S1: the sleep. Like, I think that's fine. Like, that's BAU. And [00:26:09] S0: I think... Yeah, just doing things that take you out of your head and into your body, like you exercise religiously, but what are those other things you can do to be, like, really, really present? Like, maybe more yoga classes on the weekend. Maybe more like things where you combine exercise with socializing. Like, if you go to Salty's in Bondi and you have coffee with people afterwards. [00:26:25] S1: I used to do that, but then I went like, this is the bad thing when you start to have big goals and exercise and you like always want to exercise alone because then you're doing a training program to learn it's like marathons and high rules.

[00:26:25] S1: I used to do that, but then I went like, this is the bad thing when you start to have big goals and exercise and you like always want to exercise alone because then you're doing a training program to learn it's like marathons and high rules. [00:26:34] S0: Honestly started that like I actually like almost disagree with this mentality now. Like we're at the beginning of the year, like, I'm guilty of this as well. We set these big goals across every area of our life, but then every area of your life becomes goal driven. And it's like, then you just can't like almost enjoy anything about your life in the sense that you like to really enjoy it. Like, I [00:26:50] S1: love the exercise I do. [00:26:51] S0: The running, the hierarchy. Mean, then it doesn't become community oriented at all. It just becomes like, it's kind of what we've talked about this, like in Western cultures, how everything is individualistic, then literally everything becomes individualistic and for yourself. Whilst if you go to run club, you may run slower, maybe not be towards your goals, but you may beat a billion people, you may beat [00:27:08] S1: up finding the right training partners. That's it. Yeah. Alright. Yeah. I feel like I will probably not take on that advice for a bit because I still love the goals that I'm eating towards Yeah. Honest wise. But no, definitely like take the point, like trying

[00:27:08] S1: up finding the right training partners. That's it. Yeah. Alright. Yeah. I feel like I will probably not take on that advice for a bit because I still love the goals that I'm eating towards Yeah. Honest wise. But no, definitely like take the point, like trying [00:27:23] S0: to find community in your hobbies. Yeah. That's big. And I just think like we just need to protect our sleep with this intensity. Like I think operate better like that. Like, right now, I slept, like, an average of five and a half hours for the last, like, eight days, and I feel, like, very exhausted. Yeah. We'll see people that need our sleep as well. Exactly. And the words, like, aren't as articulate. Like, I just, like... I don't know. Things don't... Like even this podcast, I reckon would be much better on eight hours sleep than we're doing right now. Yeah. What are [00:27:48] S1: you feeling most passionate about at the moment? [00:27:53] S0: I think it's building like that world class team. Like this is something that fascinates me. A lot of people don't like managing people. Like, I really love it. And I'm like fascinated with this question of like, how do you bring someone closer to what they really want out of life? Not just in work holistically Mhmm. With their exercise, with their family, with all that kind stuff, how is work going to enable it with that? Because you spend so much time at work, and then how do you put these people in systems where they work really well with other people? [00:28:19] S1: And I think there's a lot
00:28:19 · Adam, Sachin
[00:28:19] S1: And I think there's a lot [00:28:20] S0: of things people get wrong. Like people think like a lot of people want work life balance nine to five. Actually, highest performers, when they're on a mission and they feel really passionate about their work and they can keep healthy, they actually wanna work a lot and they wanna work weekends. And we sometimes talk to some of our employees on the weekends. We tell them don't reply to us, but they're passionate about this stuff as well, and they reply and engage with us. So fascinated with that. I'm also fascinated... I'm really pumped up by, like, sitting around corners. So it's like, we're gonna make all these mistakes, but how do we have mentors that, like, can really help us and inspire us? Because I don't I don't know. We've talked to a lot of founders and I want Sean to spend time with more founders that really, really inspire us, j us up. Like, we had that with a a lady called Michelle Simmons on Friday. So she's a quantum physicist, one of the leading ones in the world, and she was so intense and so passionate. And she had this rare mix of, like, this almost maniacal obsession with what she does, but also recognizing it's so important. Like, if Australia gets the first quantum computer, that is huge for the world, like, huge for our society. And she really inspired me.

[00:29:24] S1: Yeah. That episode was just incredible. Like, sometimes you meet people that are, like, 10 x more intense and ambitious than the previous sort of person that you've ever met, and that just fires you up. It also just shows you that the challenges we're facing are very, very miniscule compared to bloody quantum physicists. Yeah. Yeah. Cool. I think that is a good wrap for this week. Yeah. If you're listening, [00:29:47] S0: let us know what you think about these episodes. We wanna make them really actionable for you guys as well as just being a dialogue. These are conversations we have anyway. Yeah. [00:29:55] S1: Let us know what you wanna hear because we wanna be really vulnerable with this. We wanna show you the ups, the downs, the good, the bad, the ugly of this journey. And so if you want to hear certain things, let us know. [00:30:04] S0: Yeah. And we hope it's a good resource for founders who are going along the same journey right now. And it's a place you can come and switch off and kind of just see other people going through the same journey. But yeah, thanks for being here and we'll see you next week. See you next week. That's the end of this week's podcast. If you
