[00:05:05] S1: I know. I feel like you don't really do that with the rest of our content. He likes to be front and center, and I think that content's obviously a big topic we're gonna get into today. But, like, how do you [00:05:12] S0: guys know when... Who's gonna take the lead on things and stuff? Because when we get interviewed and go on things, sometimes it's like we kinda know beforehand who's gonna sort of speak on something, but I feel like with a lot of the, like, the smart sort of questions and and smart sort of responses, Rob likes to chime in and show off his intellect. [00:05:29] S1: We're like, you know, [00:05:30] S0: if if something needs to be a bit lighthearted, that's where feel I like I can jump in and have a bit of fun. [00:05:34] S2: But there's... What about you guys? Duo dynamic. [00:05:36] S0: Do you have something similar? It's pretty intuitive, to be honest. [00:05:39] S3: Like, because we're best friends outside of this and, like, we lived together for a long time. We've lived overseas together. It's kind of intuitive now. And I guess maybe, like, in a different way to you guys, we're both kind of similar in the sense that, like, we can probably both say the same things across a lot of stuff. So it's almost like sometimes when one of us is on a roll, we just let the other one speak. You know, when you're in flow and the words are coming out nicely, we let the other one speak. But it's pretty, like, we can switch it up.

But it's pretty, like, we can switch it up. [00:06:02] S2: I think we would, like, just really put in the reps of having lots of conversations together, like, in social settings, like parties, but ones in, like, business scenarios. And so when you do thousands of those, like, you just know when someone's about speaking when someone's not. And so in a podcast, like, we... When we first started doing it, we used to do this thing where we would tap each other under the table when you wanted to speak. But now we don't even need to do that because, like, we just... We've got that intuitive sense when the next person wants to speak, which is pretty cool. [00:06:25] S0: I love that. We just cut each other off. We... Yeah. What we do is, hang on. Before this leaves my mind, I need to get this out here. [00:06:31] S1: What you're saying? Shit. Let let take a I do

[00:06:31] S1: What you're saying? Shit. Let let take a I do [00:06:34] S0: the edits. Yeah. And sometimes I hear it, and it's just like, Rob's just trying to clean up this question that I'm trying to ask, and it's it's funny. It's just like, no. I I just kinda wanted to go that way, [00:06:43] S1: and you're like, they're they're not digging that one. That's not that's not how it is. But, hey, let's re... Let's rewind back a little bit four years ago, starting the pod, doing what you're doing now. Would... Do you... Did you expect to be able to take a pathway like this and for it to shape the way it has? [00:06:58] S3: Yeah. Absolutely not. I think we started the podcast when we're both in second year uni, and it was purely just out of curiosity. It was like we were having interesting conversations with friends over coffees and green teas, and we're like, hey, why don't we just record this for other people? Adam and I were naturally people that would like, you know, kind of those wanky uni students that would message people on LinkedIn and be like, hey, can we grab a coffee and pick your brain for information? And we're like, why don't we just share this with other people? And that was genuinely it. No ambitions. We didn't even know it was really a podcast. We just recorded it and put it online, and we're like, we're just sharing this information.

[00:07:30] S2: Yeah. It's pretty weird at the start. Like, our first three episodes, I think we had a political activist and a bodybuilder, then a social entrepreneur. I think we had, like, a huge Trump supporter on, then we had, like, a really left wing person on, and just, like, getting different viewpoints about really different things just because we're curious. And then I think over time, like, our just natural inclination and interest took over. Then it became more about business, and we sort of learned more about tech and venture capital. And it was like, you know, that just created this snowball effect of us going deeper and deeper into that world. And then eventually, it became known as, like, this sort of tech podcast. And, like, we just... A a lot of people, like, would ask us, like, oh, how did you get to doing so many episodes? How did you stay committed? But it's, like, that was never a question for us. We just like doing it. And, like, we're meeting cool people, having these conversations. It has other benefits. So we just kept on doing it for years.

[00:08:21] S3: I I think you guys will feel this, but, like, the podcast is very reflect... A reflection of where you are at at... In that current point of your life. Like, I... Like, even a couple of years ago, our podcast, we started to ask our guests a lot more about love and their personal lives because we're grappling with those questions ourselves. Like, how do you run a business and have a good relationship at the same time? And, like, nowadays, we're getting on more founders than investors because we're both... Know we're not gonna go down the investing path in the next few years. So now we wanna learn more from founders and people building things. So it's like very much reflects where you were at in your life. [00:08:50] S0: I love that. I always worry about it with my future kids going back and listening to all the stuff that we're... We record because it's like you can really... It's like an open journal sometimes. And when you do so [00:09:00] S1: much content, [00:09:01] S0: I feel like you can forget sometimes that you're just, like, sharing stuff. I don't know. You you feel like... Because you're not a big sharer, are you?

[00:09:01] S0: I feel like you can forget sometimes that you're just, like, sharing stuff. I don't know. You you feel like... Because you're not a big sharer, are you? [00:09:07] S1: No. I feel like the podcast for me... We don't do as much content as what you lads are doing now from like a a video perspective. But again, like, I feel like when we kicked our pod off, which is still sort of similar sort of time, it was still new, like pods are... I feel like now it's very saturated people who wanna start a pod. There's very low barriers to entry, people who wanna do it. A lot of people who are, I think there's a little like spoiled for choice on what you wanna listen to, and I think for us, and I think similar for what you guys are doing is like there wasn't that many people covering business in Australia. You know, like there was from like May... Like mass media sort of angles, but no one that was really trying to cover it with any sort of like energy in a different perspective that wasn't so [00:09:48] S2: serious, like, suit and [00:09:49] S1: tie sort of sort [00:09:50] S0: of vibes.
