Property AI Report

[00:27:34] S1: That's it, and I th I guess I didn't get a chance to read it in depth. How's it gonna stack up against Elon Musk's SpaceX or SpaceX SI as it is now um debut? Uh is it on a similar level? [00:27:47] S0: Yeah, no, it's it's a yeah, exactly. And I'm sure that um you know Elon is watching on and hoping that he still retains the uh the number one four biggest IO, but uh yes, we shall see. But also um Anthropic has been also chatting about some some other interesting stuff. Um they've got new Claude Duet, which is essentially like Rockbot, isn't it? Like dots from OpenAI, and um looks like it's yeah, it's a proactive AI agent that uh that does many of the things that uh the others do. Um don't know if you've had the chance to have but I've listened and and read through a number of things.

[00:28:22] S1: The the personal agent part is something I'm I'm really interested in. I've talked uh enthusiastically about Gropbot. Unfortunately, we don't have access to Meta's Muse as yet or dots. But I think Duet's um really positive, and by the sound of things, it's a real positive launch, but also it's a bit of a uh a strange one because they've not built it into the normal Claude co-work app on your desktop, so it's a totally different user interface that you have to have on your mobile and use it using the browser, which I think is maybe a bit of a a strange one, maybe points to them rushing it out ahead of IPO, along with the other news around um them gifting agent skills to the the AI foundation, which um is very good of them, gifting or donating it over. But I think the personal agent piece is is certainly one we need to or I'm I'm watching very closely because it just makes it more like a team that you're interacting with. And as soon as either dots or or duet is is nailed, I could see me moving away from Grotbot, given how those other two are my absolute work horses yet. They're sort of um a little bit ring fenced from the the more day-to-day tasks that the the um the grotbots are doing for me. Have have you looked at it?

[00:29:30] S0: As as I think I might mention, I'm following your recommendations. I am using Grotbot a a heck of a lot more right now. Um this the claw duet is is only in the states right now for Pro Max users, knowingly as as most of these things start off over there. Um but yes, I think like you, um I can kind of see myself starting to gravitate towards it as it comes on stream. But for most things, I still find you know ChatGPT and Claude being um the kind of the the stuff that I that's my go-to. Found that Chat GPT takes longer at the moment than Claude. Claude is a lot more kind of precise and very quick, but massively more expensive. But the fact that OpenAI and that ChatGPT takes longer actually makes it more expensive anyway. Digression. Yes, as far as this um Claude Duet is concerned, really excited to see it. Um, yes, like you, gonna be kind of lining them up and doing a little beauty pageant to see which one's gonna become essentially my default over time. Um, all right, um, just time for another sort of quick one. We were gonna talk about uh Kimi. So Kimi K3 is, yes, insanely sorry, 3.1 Pro has come out. It is yet another insanely good uh open source model from China that essentially is catching up on the closed source ones, right, Matt? [00:30:34] S1: That's it. Apparently it's only five weeks behind what we currently have access to in terms of Astra and Fable, although we're fully expecting a fight, a Fable 5.5 to drop anytime soon. I expect probably just ahead of that IPO launch date, don't you?
00:30:48 · Mal McCallion
[00:30:48] S0: Yeah, absolutely. So no, it's um yeah, it's it's phenomenal the pace that these things are coming through. What what tends to happen is that um over in the US, the closed um the closed models, so like Claude, like um ChatGPT, they tend to make the breakthroughs and and you know do some amazing stuff. And then the engineering teams over in China just get very close to it, much cheaper, much more cost-effectively because they know how to kind of distill some, distill the information out and then to actually tune up certain parts of it so that actually it it is to all intents and purposes as good as what five weeks ago you know fable was, but essentially yeah, kind of free to use, essentially. So yeah, it's um it's insane. And yes, it it continues to um to be a race that is um yeah, closing the gap is closing, and the gap is closing fast. All right, so that is all of our AI and property, sorry, AI and tech news this week. Um let's very quickly dip into our weird AI of the week. Matt, we've got robots again, haven't we? Um you love your robots. I do love my robots, yeah. Um so this is Unitry, um, again, massive um producer over in China, um, creating many, many, many, many of these humanoid robots. This particular uh drop from last week um showed what they're calling their guardian robots, uh Kung Fu Legend Guardian H2X. And this, we will try and put the link into the show notes, shows a really angry-looking robot kneeing a car, jumping over it, and then doing some um some very yeah, angry, like it's got like really angry looking eyes. And I love the way they then like say this is powerful performance to serve and guard you with a maximum endurance of approximately eight hours. Please use a robot safely and in a friendly manner, it says literally on the tweet. It's like, could that be any more serious? Matt, you're gonna get one?
00:32:35 · Matt Goddard, Mal McCallion
[00:32:35] S1: I'm gonna check there's no PHP in in there first, I think. Good idea. [00:32:39] S0: The next bit is um shows it picking up a car so you could um rescue a body from underneath the wheels. Anyway, do go and have a look at that. It's on Unitary Robotics um X feed uh and various other places we will try and put the notes in uh put in the show notes as well because it's funny and also scary. Right, um finally, as ever, we are going to dive into our tool of the week. Right, tool of the week. Um we've been talking about cybersecurity, we've been talking about being careful with stuff. Matt, this is one password for your agents. Talk us through.
00:33:08 · Matt Goddard
[00:33:08] S1: So one password similar to LastPass, or these more secure areas where you can keep passwords vaulted away rather than writing them down in a text file on your desktop, as I still see so many people do when they're um screen sharing and opening that folder up and or even a spreadsheet mail. Not talking, I'm not talking about you mail. Um well worth looking at for yourself if you are one of those people who has a text file or a spreadsheet with your various passwords in there or you the uh large language models are sort of getting better at saying, don't paste me a an a password or a key or anything now, aren't they? And they they then tell you to um rotate the keys very much like you've got from certain CRMs at the moment, Matt. So if you're not already using LastPass or OnePassword to keep your password secure, so whether you keep your keys secure, worth looking at. But then OnePassword have just released a model for agent specifically. And I I think I've touched on my GrockBot has its own cards and with some of its own little fund of money to buy things on. It's got its own email account, so it's not using my credentials, my my accounts, and one password has now reproduced its own way of storing passwords specifically for agent. So if you are building things worth looking at that, so it's it's keeping it in a very secure place that you have control of, it's still there, Mel.
