[00:41:57] S1: Next week, my man. You'll see it. One positive, on the on the Reddit front, but their their ad revenue up 54% year over year. So, like, they're crushing it. And they're joining the S and P 500 in q three. So I mean, lots to lots to be positive about in terms of Reddit and surfing this wave, I think, positively. Let's talk about AI. Gotta talk about AI before we end this thing. So two interesting notes here. So neither of which I think are conf... One was confirmed by ChatGPT or OpenAI. What one was it? So in a interview or conversation with, Alex Kantrowitz, who we had on earlier this summer with his newsletter, must read, an OpenAI exec said they are 20% of Google's search volume. Not not search volume going to Google. 20% of the amount of searches that Google does is happening on OpenAI. [00:42:48] S0: Yeah. Market share. Is wild. That's crazy if it's true. That it would insane. Yes. That's the number we've been waiting for. That's the number we've been waiting for. Like, what? Because Google keeps saying, well, search queries are at absolute high. They keep growing. They're faster. Okay. Yeah. Sure. I wanna know what the market share is because Google topped out at, like, 93% market share with, like, Bing having five. And we know it's lower than that, but we don't really know what it is. If it's really 20 to OpenAI, that would be a nutty statistic both for OpenAI's prospects, which, you know, would make me very bullish on them, but also for potentially the bear case against Google.

[00:43:28] S1: Yeah. And are these net new searches? Right. You know, like, are are people just using ChatGPT differently in terms of their their searches? And they're still going to Google for their Google Yeah. Needs, and and it's just the whole thing. We need more.

And they're still going to Google for their Google Yeah. Needs, and and it's just the whole thing. We need more. [00:43:42] S0: We we do need more, and we'll probably not get it until OpenAI goes public, and we start getting quarterly reports. But, like, you know, to go from Google, which, you know, effectively is a monopoly. They've been declared a monopoly by the courts in in search. And to have a monopoly suddenly lose 20% market share of the market they were supposedly, you know, in complete lockdown on, that... That's a epic change. And, you know, and it rings true that I think most people use OpenAI that they're using it for search all the time. So, you know, there's no reason really to doubt it, but it's just an eye popping number. [00:44:17] S1: Yeah. Hold up. Are you a ChatGPT person, or do you use Claude or another one? [00:44:22] S0: No. Yeah. I've been thinking a lot about this. I use ChatGPT like a search engine. I use it all the time for factual, straightforward kind of things, and then I use Claude like a professional assistant, like, you know, when for coding or for help me write a business plan for x or stuff like that. Right? So I don't find... I find Claude is a little slow and convoluted for simple queries, and ChatGPT is really good at the simple queries.

I unsubscribed from ChatGPT a long time ago, by the way. If I ever land there, it's cool. I get some ads. A 100% claud for basically all of those uses. I'm sorry. 98% claud. And then if I need something more kinda like Symbol consumer, I actually go to Grok. And Grok is really good. And then for this... I don't know what else this personal agent, you know, need is that I somehow convince myself I need. It's it's it's muse all the time.

You know, I I think there's something to each of them. Oh, I had this weird... I've been experimenting a lot with some things on OpenAI, and I turned the thinking level to medium instead of high. And I just wanted... I was doing simple stuff. I was like, medium should handle it, and it literally got every query wrong. It was it was so interesting. And I would ask it, like, after it gets something wrong, I would ask it, like, why was that last answer wrong? And it'd be like, oh, you're right. I got it wrong. And it would do that. It, the... You know, I think a lot of consumers have this belief that AI still hallucinates like crazy. And the answer is it does if you use the wrong model. Right? So that was my little learning of the week. Okay. We're not here hear my tech tips.

It was not, I think, confirmed or announced by the company, but apparently, Chat GPT is now working with both Magnite and PubMatic. Sent both stocks popping on the day, by the way. And when it was interesting, it was like almost a throwback issue new, use case, which is like they're using it for Rembrandt in some way and connecting it to their own, like, you know, advertiser direct efforts. I don't know if that was right. Kinda feels a little bit weird, but it's good for them.
