[00:56:24] S1: to weld, you can put it down. You can see [00:56:26] S4: through it And just the second that you start welding, it'll auto darken. Okay. So, you don't have to worry about doing anything. All you have to do is put it on, crank this down. [00:56:35] S1: Okay. You'll be ready [00:56:35] S4: to go. Try do this one first. I'm gonna do the same. I'm gonna put on some PPE. [00:56:45] S1: Do you have, like, any kind of glass? I'm gonna be quite far back. [00:56:48] S4: You can use the same one right there. [00:56:49] S1: This one? [00:56:50] S4: Yep. Can put that on. [00:56:50] S1: Who is she? [00:57:14] S4: Very nice. [00:57:15] S0: That one, my hand skipped a little bit. [00:57:17] S4: Yep. That's fine. Beautiful. We can do one more if you want. [00:57:20] S0: Okay. One more. [00:57:21] S1: Alright. Last one. This is when the counts. [00:57:23] S0: Alright. [00:57:24] S4: Stay nice and tight. Closer. Nice. [00:57:49] S1: Alright. You're hired. [00:57:50] S0: Not bad. [00:57:51] S1: Bang up. [00:57:52] S0: Let's go. Nice. America needs welders. [00:57:56] S1: Nice joke. Cool. Thank you, Miguel. [00:57:59] S4: You're very welcome. [00:58:00] S0: Is this how much fun? That's my real reaction. [00:58:10] S1: On a scale of one [00:58:11] S0: ten, like, what are we talking about here? [00:58:13] S4: We're a solid five. [00:58:14] S1: Wow. That's amazing. [00:58:17] S0: For ten [00:58:18] S4: years and don't do a job like that. [00:58:20] S1: Damn. Damn. Hey. That's what we got. Pay attention and take good instructions.

[00:58:20] S1: Damn. Damn. Hey. That's what we got. Pay attention and take good instructions. [00:58:24] S0: Always stay tight. That's right. We do. That's great. Cool. Thank you. [00:58:33] S1: They just lifted the satellite. I don't if you wanna... Maybe it's too late to get footage of that. But if you want, we just... [00:58:38] S0: Yeah. Yeah. Let's go over there. So we just did the welding and... [00:58:42] S1: You crushed it. [00:58:42] S0: I'm a [00:58:43] S1: five. Out of 10. He didn't [00:58:46] S4: say out [00:58:47] S1: of 10. It could be out He [00:58:48] S0: did say out of 10. [00:58:48] S1: Did he? Yes. I thought he said you're a solid five. No, he [00:58:50] S0: said you're a solid five out of 10. [00:58:52] S1: Did he? Okay, okay, okay. [00:58:53] S0: Was like, [00:58:54] S1: damn, that's pretty good. [00:58:58] S0: Okay. But I was I was wondering, like, how does the flow change of how many people are working on the floor versus up in the offices through the different stages and processes of building out Starcloud two?

[00:58:58] S0: Okay. But I was I was wondering, like, how does the flow change of how many people are working on the floor versus up in the offices through the different stages and processes of building out Starcloud two? [00:59:12] S1: Yeah. So actually, most people you can see are both engineering and we have all the engineers make sure that they are hands on with the satellite as well. So half the time these people will be upstairs designing stuff on CAD, the other half the time they're down here fiddling with wires and testing stuff. We also have a technician team. That was Miguel. We got four technicians. Some more coming on soon. Maybe five now. I don't wanna get it wrong. And their job is, like, welding and fabrication, making... Actually producing the satellite. So, yeah, Miguel's team... We... The the whole computer module here is an aluminum box that they in house produced and fabricated. [00:59:56] S0: And I am contributing to that. [00:59:58] S1: You are contributing a huge amount. You need [01:00:02] S0: me, let me know. I can come on. [01:00:03] S1: For your listeners, it is official. You have now done more welding at Starcloud than I have. [01:00:08] S0: Wow. You gotta really visit Miguel. I think he's waiting for you [01:00:13] S1: to Yeah. Yeah. [01:00:13] S0: He'll put in some work. [01:00:15] S1: Yeah. Yeah. [01:00:15] S0: You're not doing enough. Yeah. Bailey, tell us a little bit about yourself. I know we're in front of Starcloud two, something just happened, you guys are testing things. But we'd love to learn more about you and how you contributed.

[01:00:15] S0: You're not doing enough. Yeah. Bailey, tell us a little bit about yourself. I know we're in front of Starcloud two, something just happened, you guys are testing things. But we'd love to learn more about you and how you contributed. [01:00:27] S6: You bet. So I'm the engineering manager here at Starcloud, and what we're doing right now is a leak check of the prop system. So right now, we have a fully fueled electric propulsion system, ion thruster, and we are testing it after Vibe to make sure that we didn't introduce any cracks or other leaks during the Vibe test. [01:00:44] S0: How did you come here? How did you get to Starcloud? [01:00:47] S6: It was a bit of a long journey, so I started my career at SpaceX in aerospace. I spent about four years there. Then I did a couple other side quests in, like, biotech and consumer product design. Those didn't really stick. Moved on to fusion energy, which was really cool. But at the end of that three year stint, I realized I'm a space nerd. I need to be working on space to be happy. And fortunately, living in Seattle, there's a ton of cool companies in the in the area, but Starcloud really stuck out. Back then, they had a different name, and got in contact with the founders super early on, and the rest is history. [01:01:17] S0: What's your favorite thing about Philip? [01:01:23] S1: You can't do that. You can't do that. What do hate about? Yeah. What do you hate about him? What's your [01:01:30] S0: least favorite? We don't say hate. [01:01:32] S1: Love it.

[01:01:32] S1: Love it. [01:01:32] S0: What's your biggest challenge with Philip over here? Does he not give you enough attention? What's going on? Let's work this [01:01:38] S1: out on camera. Could be... [01:01:42] S6: It's a it's a two sided coin or whatever, but, the office is very busy with tours and things like that all the time. [01:01:47] S0: We gotta go. [01:01:48] S1: There you go. There you go. Go. [01:01:50] S0: There There you go. [01:01:51] S1: He's like, I have [01:01:52] S0: to wear [01:01:52] S1: a copy. Was the politest way to tell you to fuck off. [01:01:55] S0: My god. Damn, Bailey. Give me the mic. [01:01:58] S1: Yeah. Oh, [01:02:00] S0: that's funny. Okay. So what are you most looking forward to? What is your favorite part of the process? [01:02:07] S6: I think the next thing I'm looking forward to most is obviously the launch for sure. I'm gonna be tremendously proud of this, like a lot of blood, sweat, and literal tears into this thing. As far as the whole design process goes, I would say kind of the test is my favorite part. That's where the rubber really hits the road. So this recent vibration test was a really big one. And then the cooling system was another big one where back when we were in Colorado not long ago, that was our first, like, full up integrated test of the whole cooling system, which was kind of like my baby from day one. So it was really cool to see that up and running too.

[01:02:39] S1: So everybody always asks about what the hardest thing about Starcloud is, and it's the thermal system, these radiators in particular. Bailey was responsible for designing and fabricating the radiators. And also, Bailey is responsible for this satellite being here. So we had... In the end state, we only had three weeks to do the final assembly of all of the the satellite, and Bailey went down and basically built that bus by scratch... From scratch. So... [01:03:01] S0: Damn. It was fun. Where'd you build it? [01:03:03] S6: In Colorado, in our bus provider's office. [01:03:06] S0: Oh my god. Alright. So we're just leaving [01:03:08] S1: So you're... [01:03:09] S0: The main facility. We're now going over here. [01:03:11] S1: Yeah. We're gonna go to... [01:03:12] S0: You're buying up the entire
