For Runway in particular, the entire, like, first two and a half years, like, up until basically this year, was really hard. When you join a startup as an employee, you probably aren't expecting for nothing to happen for, three years. Because when we look at Figma today or Airtable or any of these Cisco companies, they're like, oh my god. They made it. Dylan from Figma is one of our investors. I invited him over for a lunch and learn. And at the end, I asked him, like, one last question. What was most surprising about taking Figma from where it was the at beginning to where it is today? He said... He had had his answer that was really interesting. He said, what was surprising the most is how few people made it all the way. And I thought, was like, okay. That's interesting. The more I thought about it, the more I thought that is an incredibly surprising answer. In early days of Figma, it's an amazing team. Half the people working there on this team looked left and looked looked right and said, we're not gonna make it. We're not growing. It's not working. Meanwhile, what they were working on turned out to be one of the most... The biggest private outcome of all time. But even in that situation, in this team, half the people didn't think they gonna make it. You you just don't know until it starts working. And so you have to have the right expectations on how long does it gonna take, how much is... It's gonna suck, and whether the... And the likelihood of it working out or not. But at the same time, if you want to build something like great and valuable, it takes a long time. Of course, like, when you start winning, it's great, but it took three years to start winning at any level at all. You have to somehow irrationally believe and care about this so much that you're legitimately willing to work on this for three and a half to five years, not knowing anything if it's ever gonna work. And then if it does work, is a payoff gonna be worth it? Because if you're gonna take such a long bet, it has to be really valuable. And so when things were working, and for many years it wasn't working, the thing that I thought about is like, but if it does work, if it does work, this could be one of the most impactful things anyone could ever work on.
