[01:03:19] S1: And this app also identifies ads within episodes so you can skip them and focus just on the content. It has guides for your favorite podcast where you can rate each episode and how valuable it is, how much you might enjoy it, and it even shows you your listening habits and how much time you've saved by listening at faster speeds or skipping ads right on the app. So there you go. [01:03:39] S0: Great. Awesome. And then we had two others in the first round. Right? So we we are... We have six submissions total here... Or no. Five unique submissions. Right? Fat Don had done one last time too? [01:03:48] S1: Yes. We have picked our top... We received 83 total submissions for these. [01:03:54] S0: And you picked your top five. [01:03:55] S1: We demoed three the first time, and then we demoed three this time, one carryover. So we've demoed five total on the air out of 83 that we received. [01:04:03] S0: Here's what I wanna These are all equally good. All five were equally good. [01:04:07] S1: I

[01:04:07] S1: I [01:04:09] S0: think everybody kind of hit the exact notes. I don't think any one of them is distinctly better than the others. There's just different ideas in each. So I'm going to call an Audible here, take the top five that you guys picked, we'll give them each $1,000 How does that sound? If anybody does not want the $1,000 which probably comes with a $10.99 or a prize thing because of taxes, let my team know an actual nonprofit or something you want to donate it to that's not like a political one. I don't... I... Like, don't make me give money to, like, some war in The Middle East, one side or the other. Pick an innocuous known charity, the Red Cross or something non... Don't put me in the middle of your social war. Pick, like, something to to... For kids with brain cancer. [01:04:55] S1: Or I think, like, some... Yeah. Like like, an animal. [01:04:57] S0: A save the whale. [01:04:58] S1: Be great. Dogs with borders is great. [01:05:01] S0: Something that I'm not gonna get slammed with in the future. Give each person a thousand dollars, and we're done. We're done with the annotating. [01:05:08] S1: That sounds very fair. [01:05:10] S0: Alright. Great job, everybody. [01:05:11] S1: Thanks to all... And thanks to all of our [01:05:13] S0: And this is very good for me. I got a lot of... The whole goal for me here was to get ideas, Lon. I got a lot of ideas, lot of inspiration.

[01:05:13] S0: And this is very good for me. I got a lot of... The whole goal for me here was to get ideas, Lon. I got a lot of ideas, lot of inspiration. [01:05:18] S1: And I would like to point out, I mean, the annotated contest, it really highlights how an entire business can spring, Jason, from just a great domain name. You bought annotated.com before you even really knew what the product would be about. [01:05:32] S0: I kinda did. I kinda had the idea. [01:05:33] S1: Yeah. Well, you had an early version, but but Had [01:05:35] S0: a version. Yeah. [01:05:36] S1: Getting to that domain, it became a compelling product because you own [01:05:40] S0: I bought it over fifteen years ago for $35,000, I think. I paid a lot. No. No. That was aday.com I paid 30,000 for. I think annotated, I paid, like, $5 for. So I own a day, a day. I was gonna do joke.aday, recipe.aday was my original concept there. And then I guess somebody did aday.com, like, there's a clothing wear company. They're like, hey. Can we have the domain for free? And I was like, I'll do it for a million dollars in equity in your company. [01:06:10] S1: Yeah. [01:06:11] S0: And a 100 K in cash or something. Like, they were... But they were like, oh, no. But we're a start up. I'm like, it's a four letter domain name. It's got serious value. [01:06:21] S1: Even better. You know? [01:06:22] S0: And if anybody wants to [01:06:23] S1: buy... Send them my way.
01:06:23 · Lon Harris, Jason Calacanis
[01:06:23] S1: buy... Send them my way. [01:06:24] S0: If anybody wants to buy inside.com, auction... Pull that up for a second. Inside.com. The auction is going to end November 1. We haven't hit the reserve, but get in there. Hopefully, we'll get it past $1,000,000 so I can return some capital to the previous investors. We're to just let that one go before 80 is where it's at, and we got two days. So I guess we can get some last minute ones there. Hopefully it hits my minimum there and we can sell it. If not, I'll put it on... Maybe I'll give it to GoDaddy since they're a partner and [01:06:52] S1: have them [01:06:52] S0: do so. [01:06:52] S1: I was just about to say, perfect, perfect partner to send it to, girl. And if you wanna grab the perfect domain, whether it's inside.com or something else... [01:07:01] S0: Aday.com, annotated.com. [01:07:04] S1: Any anything like that. Godaddy.com. That's where you wanna go to check it out. [01:07:08] S0: GoDaddy's incredible. Go check out GoDaddy. Have so many different... Actually, one of the services they have is $99. You can have them go try and negotiate to to buy yourself a domain. I use that all the time from a secret account when I try to buy these things. So great partner. I've used GoDaddy for twenty plus years. My favorite registrar. All right. We're done. I got to go. Do you wanna give me one off duty? Your your best off duty line.

[01:07:36] S1: I I mean, I think we have to mention, we lost a legend this week at the age of 86. He's Professor X to many of you. He's Captain Jean Luc Picard to many others. A classically trained Shakespearean actor. We say goodbye to Patrick Stewart this week. What a a what a legend. I've been rewatching The Next Generation. Like, you know, I like to, like, throw something on before bed. [01:07:58] S0: Favorite episode?

[01:07:58] S0: Favorite episode? [01:07:59] S1: Oh, there's there's there's so many... I think, you know, the one I just rewatched. I'm I'm blanking on the title of it, but it's, they encounter a drifting, you know, like a shuttle craft, and inside is an unconscious Jean Luc Picard from the future. And so they... The crew of the Enterprise... This is a classic from season two. They have to figure out what's going to happen that's going to cause Picard to leave the spacecraft of what it can A mind bender. Yes. It's a brilliant, brilliant episode. Incredible performance because Patrick Stewart's playing a dual role, this confused, unconscious Picard from the future, and then, you know, Captain Picard. What a great episode. What a great show. [01:08:38] S0: Is there another non sci fi comic book role that I should see, sir Patrick Stewart, in? [01:08:46] S1: Oh, I've got a great one for you. There's, the guy, Jeremy Saulnier. We we talked about him... Saulnier, I think. We talked about him because he's the guy who did Rebel Ridge, that one with Aaron Pierre where he was, like, shooting with the sheriff. Yes. He did a movie called Green Room, and it is about a punk band that ends up playing at this, like, Nazi club, and then they end up getting sort of locked in the Green Room. The Nazis are trying to get them, and it's like a survival thriller. Patrick Stewart plays the leader of this Nazi gang, and he's incredibly so scary. It's nothing like any other role he [01:09:21] S0: was originally of this? Green Room [01:09:23] S1: is the name of the movie.
