[01:00:16] S1: Right. So I think it has put Jacobs... It... It's... The first thing that we see here is a summary of Jacob's comment, and then this is Jacob's comment, an important note for all managers. Delegation without micromanagement is vital. And then below that, we're seeing the context from the article. I agree. It's not immediately clear what is going where, and so we could do a little bit better. [01:00:37] S0: Well, it does say clip from Fox Business. So the person who did this one is kind of trying to explain it. What it should start with is Jacob clipped, or Jacob says, and you know, it has their quote, based on this story from Fox Business, and then it does it. So it's kind of like, here's the comment, here's the story. Or here's the story and here's all the comments about the story. So here's what people are saying about this story. So if you go to the story object, it could say, here's the story from Fox Business and everybody who's commented on it. And this would just be, say it in plain English so people are not confused. [01:01:12] S1: Yeah. [01:01:12] S0: Okay. Keep going. [01:01:13] S1: Alright. I I... One more thing I would point out while we're still frozen on here. I really like this all takes on this. You can imagine if this ever got really popular, like, if a live... Millions of people started using Annotated, and you commented on a very popular news story, and then you could click all takes on this. How useful would that be? Just like [01:01:31] S0: Super useful. [01:01:32] S1: Dozens of spicy... Replicate x and what's so

[01:01:32] S1: Dozens of spicy... Replicate x and what's so [01:01:35] S0: Here's another idea. You could actually do what TechMeme does and say, go out and find people commenting about this and put that under there as well. So you're like, here's a Reddit discussion. Here's a Hacker News discussion. Here's a slash Dot discussion, etcetera. So you could actually pull the best stuff from around the web [01:01:49] S1: as well. A Grok bot up on that, but you could just have Annotated do it. Alright. [01:01:53] S0: Interesting. Let's keep going. [01:01:54] S1: So our third and final entry [01:01:56] S0: Equally good. Yeah. [01:01:58] S1: I think they're both great so far. Our third and final entrant is Alan Shifflett. So he... We did... We praised Alan's work. He's graduating to round two. He's our round one finalist as we would go over, but he actually significantly updated his submission [01:02:13] S0: K. [01:02:13] S1: Since we last featured it. It's now an app. So let's take a look at his demo. Oh. This is the mobile app version of Annotated. [01:02:22] S0: Okay. [01:02:23] S1: A bunch of changes since round one. On X, you can now select just portions of text and choose whether or not to include it in the live post. And, of course, we're we're looking at it on this new app. You can listen to and create annotations of podcasts while they're playing. So that's what we're seeing here.

And, of course, we're we're looking at it on this new app. You can listen to and create annotations of podcasts while they're playing. So that's what we're seeing here. [01:02:40] S0: So we're listening to an all in episode. You go to thirty seven minutes in, you create a clip. Okay. Great. Yeah. Interesting. It's an interesting moment to do it while you're listening. So it's like a podcast player, with the ability to annotate. I like that. There is. Makes a [01:02:54] S1: lot of sense because how often are you listening to a podcast and you hear somebody say something and you go, oh, that that idiot. That's not that's not right. I do this with listening to all in all the time. Both both... That's a great point and, oh, I can't believe [01:03:06] S0: free content. That's why it's number one podcast in the world. [01:03:08] S1: Right. Exactly. So I think that that really does, like, scratch a podcast listening itch, where it's like, I wanna talk about what I'm hearing right now. [01:03:17] S0: Yeah. Okay. [01:03:19] S1: And this app also identifies ads within episodes so you can skip them and focus just on the content. It has guides for your favorite podcast where you can rate each episode and how valuable it is, how much you might enjoy it, and it even shows you your listening habits and how much time you've saved by listening at faster speeds or skipping ads right on the app. So there you go.

[01:03:39] S0: Great. Awesome. And then we had two others in the first round. Right? So we we are... We have six submissions total here... Or no. Five unique submissions. Right? Fat Don had done one last time too? [01:03:48] S1: Yes. We have picked our top... We received 83 total submissions for these. [01:03:54] S0: And you picked your top five. [01:03:55] S1: We demoed three the first time, and then we demoed three this time, one carryover. So we've demoed five total on the air out of 83 that we received. [01:04:03] S0: Here's what I wanna These are all equally good. All five were equally good. [01:04:07] S1: I

[01:04:07] S1: I [01:04:09] S0: think everybody kind of hit the exact notes. I don't think any one of them is distinctly better than the others. There's just different ideas in each. So I'm going to call an Audible here, take the top five that you guys picked, we'll give them each $1,000 How does that sound? If anybody does not want the $1,000 which probably comes with a $10.99 or a prize thing because of taxes, let my team know an actual nonprofit or something you want to donate it to that's not like a political one. I don't... I... Like, don't make me give money to, like, some war in The Middle East, one side or the other. Pick an innocuous known charity, the Red Cross or something non... Don't put me in the middle of your social war. Pick, like, something to to... For kids with brain cancer. [01:04:55] S1: Or I think, like, some... Yeah. Like like, an animal. [01:04:57] S0: A save the whale. [01:04:58] S1: Be great. Dogs with borders is great. [01:05:01] S0: Something that I'm not gonna get slammed with in the future. Give each person a thousand dollars, and we're done. We're done with the annotating. [01:05:08] S1: That sounds very fair. [01:05:10] S0: Alright. Great job, everybody. [01:05:11] S1: Thanks to all... And thanks to all of our [01:05:13] S0: And this is very good for me. I got a lot of... The whole goal for me here was to get ideas, Lon. I got a lot of ideas, lot of inspiration.

[01:05:13] S0: And this is very good for me. I got a lot of... The whole goal for me here was to get ideas, Lon. I got a lot of ideas, lot of inspiration. [01:05:18] S1: And I would like to point out, I mean, the annotated contest, it really highlights how an entire business can spring, Jason, from just a great domain name. You bought annotated.com before you even really knew what the product would be about. [01:05:32] S0: I kinda did. I kinda had the idea. [01:05:33] S1: Yeah. Well, you had an early version, but but Had [01:05:35] S0: a version. Yeah. [01:05:36] S1: Getting to that domain, it became a compelling product because you own [01:05:40] S0: I bought it over fifteen years ago for $35,000, I think. I paid a lot. No. No. That was aday.com I paid 30,000 for. I think annotated, I paid, like, $5 for. So I own a day, a day. I was gonna do joke.aday, recipe.aday was my original concept there. And then I guess somebody did aday.com, like, there's a clothing wear company. They're like, hey. Can we have the domain for free? And I was like, I'll do it for a million dollars in equity in your company. [01:06:10] S1: Yeah. [01:06:11] S0: And a 100 K in cash or something. Like, they were... But they were like, oh, no. But we're a start up. I'm like, it's a four letter domain name. It's got serious value. [01:06:21] S1: Even better. You know? [01:06:22] S0: And if anybody wants to [01:06:23] S1: buy... Send them my way.
