[00:39:33] S0: Like, I've got a lot [00:39:34] S2: of energy to burn and I get a lot of energy back from exercising. I love it. And then I think the soulful answer is, like, you know, how do I... Think it's, like, possible to become, like, more robotic, rational, and, like, calculating when you're a founder because, like, you're trying to push through pain barriers, you're trying to make a lot of rational decisions. But you can lose a little bit of your soul at times as well. So, like, to induce more soulfulness in my life, like, there's lot of reading that I like to do, various different books, like a lot of journaling, a lot of writing. Like, on the weekend, was trying to write some poetry that was very, very bad. But, like, just that sort of stuff to get in touch with, like, feelings, emotions, like like, truly how you feel. Yeah. [00:40:14] S0: Love that. I read your bio on the the website and it says you like sitting in cafes too, Sachin, and just people watching and writing as well. [00:40:23] S3: Yeah. I I like journaling more so than Adam. I haven't I haven't dabbled in poetry. We went away on the weekend and everyone was getting up and we saw Adam in the garden. I'm like, what is he doing? And he comes up and he's like, I'm writing poetry. But then we didn't get to hear any of it. There was one that was called, like, bushfire magic or something. [00:40:38] S2: Oh my god. It's called Sunday Blues in the Bush. [00:40:40] S0: Okay. Sunday Blues in the Bush.

[00:40:40] S0: Okay. Sunday Blues in the Bush. [00:40:42] S2: I just have, like... I get very melancholy and sad on a Sunday, so I I need to do things to combat that. [00:40:48] S0: No. I like that. You gotta put your feelings out there sometimes. I've got... [00:40:51] S1: And it's You wrote songs? [00:40:52] S0: Yeah. I wrote songs. I feel like, honestly, writing that sort of stuff, it was sort of like in a in a punk rocky type of setup, but it's like, the stuff that I wrote out, I was like, oh, man. What... Like, this does feel very like what I'm thinking at the time. And it's just like beauty, mate. You just put it out there, and it's like, hopefully, people just sing along to the to [00:41:08] S1: the Yeah. [00:41:08] S3: So what do you what do [00:41:09] S2: you guys do? [00:41:10] S0: What do you guys do to chill out? For me, honestly, doing all this stuff, I love it. So it's like switching off for me. I don't really I don't really want to switch off, but when I do, it's like golf. It's just seriously just like... That's why I have, like, cold showers or end with cold showers is because it's just like you can't help but stop to think or just take your mind off something. [00:41:31] S1: Yeah. Well, you you felt a bit angry after your golf game yesterday. We played together and gave him a bit of a touch up and I feel [00:41:37] S0: like And I'm informed too. He might have had to have [00:41:39] S1: a few cold showers. For me, [00:41:41] S0: I I just... It's a bit [00:41:42] S1: the same getting out living down this sort of way down here.

[00:41:42] S1: the same getting out living down this sort of way down here. [00:41:46] S0: The red wine lately. Yeah. [00:41:48] S2: Oh, red wine is good for winter blues. Yeah. [00:41:51] S1: I've been spending time with my daughter. Family and daughter. [00:41:54] S0: Oh, that's a nice safe answer. [00:41:55] S1: But it... No. But she is. It's it's different. She doesn't care about anything. You know? Like, it's like, she likes [00:42:00] S0: She feed me. [00:42:01] S1: As a kid. She's 2.5 years old. She just likes to have fun and do different stuff. So if you're not present, she lets you know. [00:42:07] S0: You know? Like, when... Look. When are you having a kid? When am I having a kid? Yeah. Oh, then hopefully soon. I feel like as I'm getting... I always thought I'd be an older dad, to be honest. Yeah. Yeah. Because I feel like I'm not that ready [00:42:20] S1: for Mature? [00:42:21] S0: Yeah. Yeah. Mature. It's like, can't even really look after myself, and it's like, throw someone else in the mix, and it's like... But then I see... Like, everyone around me has got kids and stuff, so it's like, I definitely see the the positive side. [00:42:31] S2: Yeah. Wouldn't you wanna have kids, like, roughly at the same time so, you know, they can grow up together? You guys can sit back and watch and play and stuff. [00:42:38] S0: 100%. But I wanna be the last one. [00:42:40] S1: My daughter loves Lach. Like, I feel like Lach spent as much time as anyone besides... Outside of my, like, direct family with [00:42:46] S0: She calls me dad. That's weird. She doesn't

[00:42:46] S0: She calls me dad. That's weird. She doesn't [00:42:48] S1: do it. She loves him. She talks, like, they'll they'll FaceTime. They'll talk. You'll go get his, like,. Most of the time, it's like, where's Winston, though? Yeah. Like, Winston's locked my dog. [00:42:58] S0: Yeah. So [00:42:58] S1: it's like, you say hi, then she's just like, where's your dog? You know? It's just fun. [00:43:01] S0: But I feel like, honestly, like, that type of stuff that that... It's... It breaks away from like... Because, like, well, I feel like it's all encompassing. Like, everything that we do is just so ingrained. It's every day, and I feel like just It's [00:43:12] S1: the same as you, lads. It's like being two friends running the business, doing things together, it is hard sometimes to separate work and life. And for us, I think what we've tried to... We've learned through the... Doing this together over the last few years through the ups and downs is like, the only thing that really matters is life first, business, whatever, like, we're we're friends before we did anything and we'll be friends afterwards. So I think for us, it's like learning to juggle and for me becoming a new dad in a middle... In a period of this sort of stuff and like having to figure out what does it... What does life look like on no sleep and why having some different stuff going on, some health things. So it's like having to take a step back on some different things and then like [00:43:49] S0: And then when

[00:43:49] S0: And then when [00:43:50] S1: you can't push the pace. Like, you need two people, like, you do your planning, you only plan what you can actually deliver. So for us, it's like learning that push pull of sometimes it's not always go fast. Sometimes it's about slowing down and just surviving certain parts while each people are going through different shit, and I think that's probably been the biggest learning curve aspect for [00:44:09] S3: us. [00:44:10] S0: But it's hard too because, like, I feel like when we chat to so many people, the sacrifices they make a lot of the time is family. So it's like, we're building this and we don't give a fuck. Like, it's like, that takes the second seat. And for us, it's like, we wanna build a banging company and work in amazing spaces and help people, but it's like, we still want, like, our child Like, [00:44:29] S1: I wanna be present dad. You know? Like, I don't I don't wanna miss things. And Yeah. That means that I probably... I might not take a meeting today and I might take it tomorrow. Or I might not get back to someone today, I might take it tomorrow, it might means I might lose out on a few things every now and again, or we might not get something. But what I've got is [00:44:45] S0: more taking two weeks off.
00:44:45 · Lachlan Bradford, Adam Miller, Sachin
[00:44:45] S0: more taking two weeks off. [00:44:46] S2: Yeah. We we see the sacrifices a lot. Like, you know, we interview a lot of people and I think just the biggest thing, like, we often ask people and it's so evident is just the amount of sacrifice on, like, relationships and families. A lot of founders make when you're, like, really obsessive and you've got big ambitions. That... Yeah. That comes with a lot of problems and sacrifice. [00:45:06] S3: And, honestly, to circle back to what you guys asked us before, like, that was a big reason we also took the plunge right now. Like, kind of we're at the age where we don't have many obligations. We're both at... I'd say minimum five years off getting married or having kids or anything like that. So, like, this feel... Feels like a time where we can go really hard without sacrificing on too much. [00:45:23] S2: Yeah. Like, I think we would have done it regardless, but it's just... It feels extra sort of easy for us just because our life is positioned quite well to, like, literally focus every hour of the day on the company. [00:45:34] S3: Like, we moved home. Right? And it'd be like, yeah, I think, you know, living at home at 25 in Sydney actually isn't that much of a random thing. Like, a lot of people do it even when they're not starting companies. [00:45:44] S2: Mhmm. I think it's like Few obligations.
