[01:27:19] S6: Look, we're gonna we're gonna sell a bunch of tickets. We're gonna have you... You can see the the audience, the excitement for audience. But you also make a ton of the money on sponsorship. Sure. And it's the brands that are excited to connect with these audiences. And so when you have a team that, like we said, has a lot of drama, it appeals to both men and women, it appeals to younger audience. You're gonna get more more sponsors, more interesting sponsors, and a good mix of of all of those kinds of things. Then you add an incredible live experience, and that's that's what it is. Jared can tell you about the... Just the fun of being at at some of these events. You go there and you got live music going. You've got a fun crowd. You have a couple of drinks. You have have have, you know, some excitement on the ice. I mean, it's an amazing experience, and that's why people wanna go. And then you add the third layer, which is really the media deal. So the Curling Group just announced, you know, part of our thesis as we got in was announcing three hundred plus hours of of content on CBC in Canada on an annual basis. CBC is investing not just for... You know, in a short term, but it's actually a five year deal replacing Canada... Hockey night in Canada on on many of the programs up there. So we're gonna be all over TV. You're gonna love it if you're a sponsor. The fans are gonna wanna be there, and and the and the the revenue mix will come from that. But they're already... It's already growing. The the numbers are kinda off the charts. It was like 400 plus percent growth, over a 100,000,000 social views on social. Incredible. Just just from the first event.

[01:28:58] S0: Yeah. I wanna talk about that. It feels like Curling Sorry. Go ahead. Sorry. I I... It feels like Curling is, like, uniquely great for social media in that one throw is the perfect length. It's it's actually a vertical ice even. Like, it frames up well. And I'm and I'm interested in, like, are you are you having fruitful conversations with sponsors around, hey. We're gonna bring you on social media and your logo will be there and maybe even, you know, ad reads, overlays, stuff like that to monetize that attention that might be a little bit more passive but still extremely valuable. And, obviously, it's a funnel to going deeper with the sport, but are advertisers comfortable yet saying, okay, I'm getting a lot of impressions just on social media? [01:29:40] S6: Yeah. I mean, you're right. You wanna come be our head [01:29:42] S2: of sponsorship? We're... [01:29:44] S0: Fantastic. Yeah. No. We love this. [01:29:46] S1: I just wanna pitch for it. [01:29:47] S0: Yeah. Exactly. Mean, love we love clipping and bringing the advertisers with us. You can see the advertisers at the bottom corner right here. If this goes out... [01:29:56] S1: One sec before David answers Yeah. That. So to your point that was one of the the things excited when Nick and I were talking about this. So curling is one of these rare sports that actually shows better on TV. Yep. Right? Because you can you can reach such a broader audience. Because if you're live, you need to have education. When you got four or five games going on on one seat or on on one sheet of ice [01:30:16] S0: Yep.
01:30:16 · John Coogan, Jared Allen, Jordi Hays
[01:30:16] S0: Yep. [01:30:16] S1: At one time, you have to know what you're watching. Right? Yep. So it's great in Canada. It's great in Europe because the fact that they're highly educated audience members. In The US, we're building on that. Right? But what's great and the numbers always supported, you know, is the Olympics through the roof, right? Curly Night in America, we used to have it. Numbers were through the roof because you had educated commentators, right, that could tell people what they were watching. And so with this with this kind of content driven sports and media driven, revenue basis that a lot of sports rely on, Curling fits that model perfectly because it shows so well on TV. Because you have commentators telling people what they're watching, and then they understand the complexity of each shot. So that was one of our real... You know, when we decided to go full into this, that was one of the big deals is because we're like, we we don't have to create content for this sport. The sport was actually built for TV, built for socials, and built for for generating content, you know, around the globe. [01:31:10] S2: Mhmm. Do fights ever break out? [01:31:14] S1: Well, so let me tell you, that was my... That was the toughest thing I had to learn about, you know, getting into curling. There's this whole concept called in the spirit of curling. Oh, You're not allowed to hit your opponent. I don't know why I [01:31:25] S2: don't blame you. I'm not [01:31:28] S1: a full I we should let some things down.
01:31:28 · Jared Allen, Jordi Hays, John Coogan
[01:31:28] S1: a full I we should let some things down. [01:31:31] S2: I think they must have they must have created that they must have created that just to nerf you. Yeah. They're like, we can't have this guy we can't have this guy Jared coming in. [01:31:40] S1: I will say that there's some of the old timers talk about some some brooms getting snapped in dressing rooms and [01:31:46] S2: There you go. [01:31:46] S1: You know, in in in a game where the the the winners have to buy the losers a beer, it doesn't really, you know Sure. Quite defining. [01:31:53] S0: Yeah. [01:31:54] S1: But I think some of the old timers would get a little more surly. I wish there were some more cross checking on the ice with those things. [01:32:00] S0: That'd That'd be great. [01:32:01] S2: How you guys think about building up like stars? Like it feels the sport, like from a marketing standpoint as you guys think about growing the platform, figuring out somebody that... It's like your thinking should be like, what's the timeline to getting one of our players on Joe Rogan? Right? Like, sort of the the pinnacle of modern media. Who's who's that person gonna be? Right? But how... Yeah. How do you think about that? Like, do they need to have some, like, crazy... Like, do they need to spend time in LA and get caught up in, like, the fast life? You know? Like, I think there there needs to be this, like, you know, allure. Like, yeah, these cur... [01:32:44] S0: These You need a bad [01:32:46] S2: boy curler. Yeah. Spotted with Alex Earl. [01:32:49] S1: And I I... I'll be honest.
01:32:49 · Jared Allen, John Coogan
[01:32:49] S1: And I I... I'll be honest. [01:32:51] S0: I don't [01:32:51] S1: know if some of these people could handle some of these old time curlers. Mean, you take the kamikouis of the world. I mean, the amount of the amount of drinks these guys can put down, it's like, how how do they get up and function the next day? Yeah. These these... Some of these old timers, you get around them, and I mean, they can still just absolutely be three sheets to the wind and put one right on the right on the pen. You're just like, this doesn't even make sense. But I think what it's coming to nowadays is a lot of these athletes are realizing that you have to have a professional mindset. Like Scotland has a massive curling facility out there, right? I mean they dumped millions and millions of dollars into the sport for their national teams and all that stuff to train just specifically this sport. And so I think this younger generation is realizing, listen, this isn't rec league anymore. You know, we can't go do what our grandfathers did. But at the same time, you you definitely... I think you're right. You have to have people that are gonna have an edge about themselves. You gotta have people that are gonna be intimidating on the on the race because that's what as fans we wanna see. Right? You you almost wanna... It's like NASCAR. You wanna know and see when that rec's gonna happen. [01:33:52] S0: Mhmm.
01:33:52 · John Coogan, Jared Allen, Jordi Hays
[01:33:52] S0: Mhmm. [01:33:53] S1: Or, you know, you look at Rock League. So for example, we we paired, you know, Jacobs from team Canada was paired against one of the... Or, yeah, Swiss players in the very first Rock League match ever, and those dudes dang near went to fist to cuffs in the in the locker room during the Olympics, right, when things were getting heated. Yeah. You gotta have those moments. Right? You gotta have those rivalries in the sports. You gotta have those personalities that clash because that's what make competitive sports fun is when you got, you know, when you got... It's like two, know, two magnets pushing against each other. Right? [01:34:22] S2: Has there been a like a doping scandal at any point in Curling's history? Or is that... No. [01:34:27] S1: I mean, might be... There... If they tested some if they tested some of these guys back in the day for drinking beforehand, [01:34:32] S0: that might be... That might [01:34:34] S1: have been the whole scandal. Scam. What about Some people are pretty wholesome. [01:34:37] S0: What about the fan experience? You've mentioned being a fan, having a couple drinks. Is hackling approved? Is it that in poor taste? How how far could you go? You're you're you're good to have some hackling on the from the stands? [01:34:49] S1: Yeah. There's... I I I welcome all of it. There's be more of [01:34:52] S0: it. Okay.
