[00:21:14] S2: It's suspicious. [00:21:15] S0: Yeah. And so, I don't know. I mean, there's there's a whole bunch of chip sanction, chip control legislation that could be expanded, reworked, changed. There's also... I mean, the incentive is just so high. We've heard about people taking hair dryers and removing labels from servers to get them across the... Across borders. It's a... It's an extremely valuable... [00:21:40] S2: That was called super micro. I think

[00:21:40] S2: That was called super micro. I think [00:21:42] S0: it was super micro. But anytime that there's these geopolitical walls, there's just such an incentive for arbitrage. I remember hearing about people that in the Russia Ukraine war would take basically, like, a first class fight to a western democracy, buy a DJI drone at, like, a Best Buy for a thousand dollars or buy a bunch of them, put them in their suitcase, fly them into the closest country, hop on a train or a bus, get into the conflict zone, and be able to sell them for, like, $10,000 apiece. And so that arbitrage is just like, okay. One trip, five ten drones, I mean, I make a 100... I make $90,000 in profit. Yeah. People do that. It's the same thing with with NVIDIA GPUs. So there's going to be an incent... A huge incentive not just to steal them and divert the cargo and do whatever you can, but also get close to the CEO, see what you can do, learn what is their actual process for making sure that chips aren't diverted. Right? How how can we mitigate the diversion as much as possible or divert as much as possible. Right? And so it's an ongoing ongoing battle. But another another example of the the the high geopolitical stakes of the AI race is this the moment that AI 2027 was talking about. China wakes up. Wakes up and starts spying, like starts going more aggressively. Wouldn't [00:23:05] S2: that... They've they've been doing [00:23:06] S0: this for couple of years then. Yeah. Yeah. This is The New York Times wakes up. New York Times wakes up to what's going on with the with the geopolitical spying.

[00:23:06] S0: this for couple of years then. Yeah. Yeah. This is The New York Times wakes up. New York Times wakes up to what's going on with the with the geopolitical spying. [00:23:16] S2: No. But there was articles about this [00:23:18] S0: Last year. [00:23:19] S2: Last year. [00:23:19] S0: No. I know. [00:23:19] S2: Like, so that... That's why that's [00:23:21] S0: But this why is like a big one. I mean, if you look at the New York Times text... [00:23:24] S2: The revelation... Re the revelation... Maggie [00:23:26] S0: Haberman, Anna Swanson. It's like they brought out their a team, six people, seven people on this on this byline. Like, it's a big deal. Yeah. Were there any other call outs that were driving conversations? I mean, already read the Ryan Mac screenshot, I believe. But it is never, never more important to be careful around mega speed CEOs, I suppose. Yeah. Odd. Funny funny name for a company. [00:24:00] S2: Anyway. Yeah. Should we go down the rabbit hole? [00:24:04] S0: Yes. We should. Let's see. Simulated markets. The simulation hypothesis. So this... I went down this rabbit hole a couple days ago because you got served this video too on Instagram. Right? [00:24:16] S2: You exact same feed. [00:24:18] S0: For some reason, doesn't show us any ads and sends us the exact same videos at the same time. I mean, this is just the nature of, like, things that go viral. Everyone sees them. But let's go... No. [00:24:29] S2: But we specifically are sending posts back and forth all day. [00:24:32] S0: So it's like you guys like the same thing. [00:24:33] S2: Yeah.
00:24:33 · Jordi Hays, John Coogan
[00:24:33] S2: Yeah. [00:24:33] S0: So there's this video. [00:24:35] S2: Yeah. We have the... We'll we'll each send the same video [00:24:38] S0: Yeah. [00:24:39] S2: To each other. [00:24:39] S0: And I'm just like like we're just like Scroll up. [00:24:42] S2: Up. Everyone will send the the night. [00:24:44] S0: Everyone sends the same video. There's... Two reels [00:24:48] S2: passing in the night. [00:24:49] S0: That has the the the the title losing our house because Really? Day Really, Tyler? What happened? [00:24:58] S2: I had to take it off. [00:25:00] S0: Oh, took Wow. [00:25:03] S2: Oh, to take it off. I'm sitting here in the capital of show business Yeah. And you got a little bit uncomfortable with with with your character. [00:25:11] S0: Have that backlink behind you over your shoulder. He looks like a little angel on your shoulder. I like the way it's framed right [00:25:16] S2: now. [00:25:17] S0: It's great. Let me tell you about Console. Console builds AI agents that automate 70% of IT, HR, and finance support, giving employees instant resolution for access requests and password resets. So this this video came up and it says losing our house because of day trader. Did you notice this? Not because of day trading, but because of day trader. So already odd grammatical error, but play this video because it's designed to sort of rage bait you and go go viral. And it has this saxophone getting louder song. And it's the whole family. This would normally be a tragedy. Like, you're losing your family home. But [00:26:03] S2: Yeah. Really
00:26:03 · Jordi Hays, John Coogan
[00:26:03] S2: Yeah. Really [00:26:03] S0: dark. It's super dark, and you're like, this is awful. Like, what is going on? But if you dig into this person's if you dig into this person's account, the next video is like is like, I lost my house day trading and, like, here's how I'm planning to win it all back. And then it's like, click my link in bio. And then you click on the link in bio and it's like, here's my trader mat... Trading mastermind. I have a free course. And then I have a $49 course. And then I have a $100 course. And so all of this is actually a funnel to an info product. And this is designed to go viral. And I don't know if they lost the house or not. Like, I I I have no idea. It could be that they're doing better than ever because they're not actually trading at all. [00:26:48] S2: Very, very counterintuitive way to market an info product being like, I just lost my house because I was bad at something. Now follow me as I run it back up. [00:27:01] S0: Maybe. It's [00:27:02] S2: weird. But... It's it's it's... Again, it's like it's... I saw it and it made me very sad.
00:27:02 · Jordi Hays, John Coogan, Luke Igel
[00:27:02] S2: weird. But... It's it's it's... Again, it's like it's... I saw it and it made me very sad. [00:27:07] S0: Yeah. Totally. Like, that is the correct emotional response, but the nature of the algorithm and negativity bias on social media is this is something that you see and you're like, oh, this is horrific. I can't look away. And then a lot of... There's just a funnel. And some people click and they watch another video. And they're like, oh, this is this is inspiring. She's she's working her way back up. And they're they're they're staying in the game. They're they're not they're not, you know, hanging up their jersey, I guess, or whatever you wanna [00:27:35] S2: They're not quitting right before they hit it big. [00:27:36] S0: Basically, that's the pitch. And, yeah, it's really, really dark. So so I I I started going down this because I was like, okay. [00:27:47] S2: Who's on the [00:27:47] S0: side [00:27:48] S3: of It's the interesting because [00:27:49] S2: it just like, it it it sticks in your mind because it is such a tragic scenario. Totally. But then what's interesting is they're just like spinning it as, oh, yeah. Well, it's all good. We're... I'm sticking... I'm... Yeah. I'm not... We're not giving up yet. Yeah.
