[00:52:15] S0: Probably it would be somebody with real industry expertise like, Elon Musk or, Thomas Reardon. Somebody who I think has like real deep industry knowledge that we could use and could help us diligence a variety of investments. I mean, as it is, my board is is really great at that. [00:52:35] S1: Which other endowment fund do you most respect and why them? [00:52:40] S0: There are several. You know, think what Eric's accomplished in Michigan, what Robert's accomplished at Virginia, Seth at MIT, Jane, now Josh at Brown, like those those teams have just done unbelievably well over the last twenty years. And I think that's, you know, ultimately that's what you're judged on is the, you know, multi decade performance of the portfolio. [00:53:00] S1: You have like a CIO dinner party? Like, all get together and shoot the shit. [00:53:04] S0: Well, I've been involved in, like, various little groups over time and a couple, like, one off chat groups where I keep track with some of my peers. And, you know, my daughter goes to school in Boston, so I'll meet some of the folks in Boston when I go out there. But but, no, there's there's not, like, an organized, like, regular CIO dinner. I think most of us spend enough time on the road that it's, that'd be tough to organize. [00:53:27] S1: You've worked with incredible managers. You've met and, yeah, worked with incredible founders. Final one. When we think about the best advice that you've been given that sticks with you every day, what would the best advice you've been given be?

[00:53:27] S1: You've worked with incredible managers. You've met and, yeah, worked with incredible founders. Final one. When we think about the best advice that you've been given that sticks with you every day, what would the best advice you've been given be? [00:53:40] S0: The best advice... I told this to, like, kids all the time, but... And I think it's very true. And it it stems from, like, I don't know who first said it, but, you should always try and be the best at things that require no talent. So, like, showing up, being curious, working hard, presentable, asking good questions, being respectful, being kind, like, all those things that require no talent, I think, contribute a lot to to success over time. [00:54:05] S1: Do you know... And I also think it's appalling when today you are equipped with tools that allow you to be so good at those things so easily. You can go to chat GBT before an interview with Scott for a job and say, give me three things about Scott that will show that I've done my work and really impress him, and it'll tell me about an incredible investment you did at Grinnell, a quote that Adam said about you and something else. And if I say those in that meeting, you'll be like, wow. Harry did his work. [00:54:32] S0: Yeah. No. It should be easier than ever to do those things. [00:54:35] S1: Scott, I do the show for shows like this. I can't thank you enough for, a, agreeing to do it, but, b, being so open, transparent, fantastic. Really, this has been a joy. [00:54:45] S0: Yeah. Well, thanks for having me. It was a lot of fun.

[00:54:49] S1: But before we leave you today, today I wanna tell you about how the first AI law firm, Crosby, helped us close a big sponsor. As you know, some of the biggest companies in the world advertise on 20. My British dulcet tones clearly convert well. I was working to close this big sponsor, and they wanted to get through legal review quite quickly to close the deal. Crosby turned red lines around in three hours and caught major issues that would have caused a serious problems in the future. Crosby combines AI, some of the best engineers in the world from companies like Ramp and Stripe, and some of the best attorneys in the world from top 10 law firms. Customers get the best of both worlds. An elite human attorney reviews every contract, but they move incredibly quickly, returning redlines in under four hours. They help the fastest growing companies like Cognition, Ramp, and Clay close deals in hours, not weeks. Learn more at crosby.ai/20vc. If you wanna redline NDAs, MSAs, DPAs, and any other procurement contracts faster, go to crosby.ai/20vc. It's speed that you can really trust. While Crosby keeps your numbers sharp, OneMind keeps your customer conversation sharper. Our friends over at OneMind have a hot take. The b to b GTM model we've been using for, well, the last twenty years, it's collapsing. Predictable revenue isn't so predictable, and buyers are just tired of explaining themselves at every handoff between SDRs, AEs, CSMs, and support. You feel it in your board reporting. Your sellers feel it in their coverage. Your buyers feel it as they wait for answers. Well, OneMind and their GTM superhumans. HubSpot, Alteryx, and ZoomInfo are just three of the tech companies using OneMind's superhumans to qualify buyers, ride along with sales reps, and coach customers. Whether you're ahead of target or under pressure to increase bookings ahead of hiring or behind on target even and need every rep to hit quota, One Mind is the solution. See for yourself at 1mind.com. That's One Mind, mind,.com. While One Mind helps you sell smarter, Framer helps you build faster. When a new landing page turns into a pile of tickets and handoffs, Framer helps your team move faster. Framer is the AI website builder that helps creators, teams, and businesses ship production ready sites faster than ever while getting every detail right.
